Suffolk County Legislator
August 4, 2009

From left to right student students Jessica McGlinchey and Jessica Thomas, advisor Colleen Lohr, Envirothon coordinator Sharon Frost, Suffolk County Legislator Daniel Losquadro, Advisor Jaime Bhalla, Suffolk County Legislator Vivian Viloria-Fisher, District Manager Paul TeNyenhuis, students Kaitlyn Bosch, Ruchi Shah, and Margaret Luebs.

On August 4th the Suffolk County Legislators honored the Sachem North High School Envirothon team with a Proclamation for their efforts on both the county and state levels.

Overcoming fierce competition on the state level both Chaminade and Sachem North were on the heels of five-time state winners, Tioga County, by scoring in the top three for oral presentation on day one! Additionally, Sachem North scored first in Aquatics and 8th overall with a score of 539.33. Chaminade scored first in Wildlife and 3rd overall with a score of 565.33.

In preparation for the competitions, both teams showed their dedication to our natural resources by studying hard and it sure paid off! Way to go teams.
